About Me…

I create Computational Art in the form of abstract organic imagery and graceful animations using mathematical algorithms I design and run on computers and micro-controllers that turn number patterns into color patterns. These are presented on large custom digital display walls, as projection art, physical light sculpture or fine art digital prints. I am currently exploring the use of motion capture and projection techniques to create interactive art that responds to the movement and rhythm of one or more performing dancers or observers in combination with the context-specific setting. I am a freelance artist and engineer based in New London, CT with more than 30 years experience in Fine Art oil painting and Engineering Research. I am also a Connecticut Office of the Arts Teaching Artist and give workshops, lectures and classes on Integrated Art, Technology and Math. My computational works and traditional fine art oil paintings have been exhibited at numerous venues and juried art shows.
